Music on Mondays
The Luton Local Partnership Panel was created to help bridge the gap when it comes to the creative arts, communities and the wider public. The other purposes of this panel are to bring together a wide range of supporters and stakeholders committed to the provision and delivery of high-quality music provision for for all learners, to facilitate joined-up music provisions in the local areas based on effective partnership working and to review local provision and identify key priorities for future development. Whilst doing this, we hope to develop a shared communication strategy to clearly signpost opportunities to all families and schools in the local area, and advocate for BLMK Music Hub and Bedford Music Service, including help to publicise and promote its work.
Using this platform, we have been able to connect local schools, artists, and venues together, helping form communications that previously may not have been available.

Richard Sisson –
Bedfordshire Youth Opera: Richard is the Musical Director of BYO, which presents an annual opera or music theatre production, rehearsed and performed at the end of the summer holidays (ie mainly in August) for 14-26 years olds; it is run by the Bedfordshire Music Trust.
Music on Mondays at Luton Music: Richard is the chair of Music on Mondays, an annual series of 20 professional chamber music concerts presented fortnightly at St Mary’s Church, Luton.
Teaching: Richard teaches on the A level Music course at Luton Sixth Form College; he also teaches Theory at the Saturday Music Centre in Luton at QES and accompanies many of the pupils entered by the hub for ABRSM exams.
